About Us

Alison Coates is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer who trains both dogs and their owners in everything from Puppy Kindergarten through Rally Obedience. Alison loves to use her expertise to make it easy for owners to enjoy life with their dogs. She uses her experience as a dog walker and pet sitter to make In Home Day School the most convenient and effective training for you and your dog.

Alison is fully engaged in the dog training community, and is committed to excellence through certification and participation in many major training organizations, including:

• Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers
• Professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers
• Member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional Positive Pet Trainers
• Operation Socialization Certified Trainer

Committed to continually improving her skills and keeping up with the latest research she attends seminars and workshops featuring the top minds in the animal training world today. Recently, this has included:

Alison spends her free time with her Border Collie/Husky mix and her Siberian Husky she trains and shows in Agility and Rally Obedience.
